Stargazing 6: Peak

$100.00

I wanted this particular painting to have a softer look, like its under a soft-glow filter. Armed with my glazing medium and a blue and white underpainting, I shaped this nebula into something reminiscent of a mountain. The glow came from my discovery that what I needed for soft blends wasn't to add more water to my paint, but less. After laying down my colors, I dry-brushed many thin layers of tinted white paint around the areas I wanted to glow. Comes with a handmade thank-you card and a certificate of authenticity.

Easel and frame are for display only and are not included by default. However, anyone who purchases one of the 8 Stargazing paintings will receive a follow-up email with links to pre-order an easel or frame so I know how many to order, but this is entirely optional. I had the frame custom made by Michael's, using the Plein Air White Frame. The easel is also from Michael's. Plein Air White Frame by Michael's
